Capitalizing on the popularity of reality television, 50/50 targets a significantly older demographic, imparting a simple message: the second phase of your life can be even better than the first.
In this show, five contestants over fifty are given $50,000 and 50 days to start their second careers. No one is eliminated, all financial services are provided by Chase (AARP credit card, checking, etc.), and weekly episodes include 50+ year-old surprise guests (Warren Buffet, Jamie Dimon, Nelson Pelz, etc.) who offer practical advice on building a large enterprise. On the last episode, viewers vote on which contestant should receive a second round of financing: $100,000.
